Advent
Services: 9 & 10:45am
11/27, 12/1, 12/4, 12/11
Glenbard West High School
There is no greater anticipation than that of the newborn King, come to bring salvation to the world. As we enter into a time of worship this Advent season, take this oppor- tunity to reflect and wait in anticipation of Christ’s arrival. As you prayerfully meditate on your relationship with him, listen for his guidance and direction. It’s with the hope of his coming, that we can confront our brokenness.
So be silent, listen, and actively await his glorious entrance. Let the Son of the Most High seek you out this Advent— for he came to us.
Morning and Evening Prayer
7 A.M. Monday through Saturday
5:15 P.M. Sunday through Friday
At the ministry center chapel (directions)
The holiday season keeps us busy and holds plenty of dis- tractions. Morning and evening prayer can be a great way to tether yourself back to the Lord, a time to be still and listen for what he has for you this Advent
Christmas Village
December 18, 10 A.M. – 8 P.M.
Glenbard West Cafeteria
Do you enjoy Christmas shopping for friends and fam- ily while wandering through a global village of Christmas trees and yuletide cheer? It sounds too good to be true, but on December 18 Christmas Village returns to Res- urrection! You will have the great opportunity to buy a gift that can change the lives of the people our overseas missionaries minister to daily. Then give Christmas Village gift tags to your family and friends so they can see the amazing impact of the gift that you bought in their honor.
Travel the world by visiting the “shops” from many different nations where our missionaries serve to purchase medical supplies, schoolbooks, firewood, or a goat for someone in need around the world. China, Nigeria, Afghanistan—it’s like the Epcot of missions! And while you’re embracing the joy of giving, enjoy a cup of wassail, pet a small ani- mal, listen to jubilant musicians, and wonder through our Christmas tree forest!

Christmas Pageant: The Road to Bethlehem
December 18, 5 P.M.
Glenbard West High School
The perfect way to prepare for Christmas, this year Resurrection is celebrating a Christmas Pageant that combines music and drama to tell the story of a newborn King. In traditional medieval pageant style, our evening will travel The Road to Bethlehem through choral and orchestral music and dramatic readings, culminating in a grand procession you do not want to miss! An event for the whole family, it includes nursery childcare, and a Christmas program for the children during part of the Pageant. At the end of the Pageant, children will have the opportunity to dress up as their favorite Nativity charac- ters like sheep, shepherds, angels, and animals to join in this very special Pageant Procession!
Bring your friends and family for this joyful celebration and special night of creativity, art, and worship!
